(Boursier.com) — Thales completes the acquisition of RUAG Simulation & Training, a company with 500 employees, which generated revenue of around 90 million euros in 2021. The consolidation will in particular complement Thales’s presence in the land market, while strengthening its expertise in solutions for helicopters and military aircraft.
This acquisition is an opportunity for the group to strengthen its local presence in priority geographical areas (France, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom), but also in the United Arab Emirates and Australia.
Synergies between Thales and RUAG S&T will accelerate the deployment of next-generation hybrid solutions, combining global expertise in synthetic environments and training in real conditions. This initiative, focused on the digital transformation of land forces, is part of Thales’s overall evolution towards increasingly green solutions, in accordance with its ESG commitments.
With the formal acquisition process completed, the next step will be to integrate the two companies to create a more efficient entity, while ensuring continuity of operations serving the armed forces.
