Thales: consortium led for the EPIIC project


(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announces that it will lead the EPIIC project (Enhanced Pilot Interfaces & Interactions for fighters Cockpit), a project bringing together 27 major players in European industry and research and funded by the European Commission to the tune of 75 million euros.

‘The project aims to meet the challenge of the air combat of the future by identifying, developing and evaluating disruptive technologies and new human-machine interfaces intended to be integrated into the cockpits of future fighter aircraft,’ he explains.

Thales coordinates the project and focuses its work on two central technologies of the device: helmet visors and monitoring of the physiological constants of the crew, called the Crew Monitoring System.
