Thales: contract for radars with Brazil


(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announces a contract with the DECEA of the Brazilian Air Force, for the acquisition of ‘all-in-one’ Ground Master multi-mission radars (GM 200 MM/A) intended to strengthen the capabilities of aerial surveillance of Brazil.

According to the group, this family of radars ‘covers the entire spectrum of threats, from mini drones to more agile, longer-range aircraft, while maintaining a very high level of mobility and a very short deployment time’.

This contract strengthens Thales’ leadership in the radar systems market in Brazil. Its subsidiary Omnisys will be responsible for maintenance and technical support activities, guaranteeing the high level of operational availability expected of these systems.
