(CercleFinance.com) – Thales and Mastercard today announce the signing of a memorandum of understanding confirming their international cooperation in ticketing and payment activities related to mobility.
“We look forward to this collaboration which will help increase ridership, make travel more fluid and reduce costs for transport operators,” said Chapin Flynn, Global Head of Urban Mobility, Mastercard.
The framework of this partnership establishes a privileged relationship in order to promote the adoption of public mobility and to offer advanced technologies and integrated ticketing and payment solutions to authorities and transport operators around the world.
“This collaboration will facilitate the integration of advanced technologies and secure payment solutions, allowing us to better respond to the needs of our customers,” adds Jean-Marc Reynaud, Ticketing Systems Director, Thales.
Within five years, this pooling of the expertise of Thales and Mastercard will lead ‘to new technologies that will define the future of digital mobility and strengthen their position as leaders in this market’, adds the company.
