Thales’ Transcity platform is the cornerstone of the system on which Thales is working in close collaboration with the other members of the consortium. As part of the first phase of the project, Thales provided a new QR code ticketing system for fare collection, which interfaces with the MaaS solution and a mobile application. This system includes improved mobility functionalities which, in the last phase of the project, lead to an end-to-end ticketing solution. When the consortium migrates the existing so-called “support-centric” architecture (the card) to a fully “back-office-centric” ticketing solution (Account Based Ticketing), this system will make it possible to process 5 million transactions per day. . project is part of the Indonesian central government’s desire to digitize the public transport system in its cities and provinces.

Jakarta’s transport development plan aims to achieve 60% use of public transport for all trips, but also to extend its coverage area to 80% of all roads in the area. Jakarta metropolitan area by 2029.
