Thales: group shot on the Cheetah to prepare for the future


From 2027, the French army will have 169 HIL (light joint helicopter) Guépard which will replace 5 types of helicopters. The announcement was made by Florence Parly, Minister of the Armed Forces, on December 22, with the notification to Airbus Helicopters of a development and production contract for a derivative of its H160. This program, estimated at around € 10 billion and for which the first batch of 30 aircraft has been notified to Airbus, is also good news for the engine manufacturer Safran and the electronics group Thales.
