(CercleFinance.com) – On the occasion of the Eurosatory 2024 exhibition, Thales presented two new broadband high frequency communication stations (HF XL) intended for command posts in theaters of operations.
Designed for high-intensity conflicts, these stations offer secure and economical transmissions, suitable for areas poorly covered by satellites or exposed to jamming.
Thales HF XL technology increases communications throughput tenfold while retaining the benefits of traditional HF, such as long range and resilience.
Thales specifies that a cognitive engine makes it possible to automatically select free frequencies, guaranteeing ‘stable and optimized’ communication.
Finally, the 1 kW and 400 W stations are interoperable with existing HF XL radios and allow communications over distances of ‘up to 10,000 km’, assures the firm.
