(CercleFinance.com) – Thales announces the continuation of the modernization of the Montreal metro network.
The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has awarded Thales a contract extension to supply the new computerized interlocking systems to eight additional metro stations.
With this contract extension, Thales will provide innovative technology for a total of 16 stations/depots, thus offering the STM the opportunity to improve its signaling equipment.
‘This project aims to improve the technological infrastructure of the Montreal metro, while taking into account future developments of the network’ indicates the group.
