(CercleFinance.com) – Thales is taking advantage of the Euronaval show, organized from October 18 to 21 at Le Bourget, to present the TURRET of the RAPIDFire system in its final form.
‘This remotely operated naval and land artillery system ensures that the platforms have a close self-defense capability against air and surface threats,’ says Thales, which also has the BRF (Bateau Revitailleur de Forces ) Jacques Chevallier will be equipped from the beginning of 2023 to start the qualification phase at sea.
According to Thales, the RAPIDFire is one of the rare anti-aircraft systems allowing, autonomously and automatically, from a Target Designation of the Combat Management System, to carry out the acquisition, identification and destruction of the threat.
