Thales: strengthened partnership with the Dutch army

(CercleFinance.com) – Thales and the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) are strengthening their partnership with the supply to the Netherlands of a System Life Extension Program (SLEP) from which 13 ILS devices will benefit ( an instrument landing system that ensures approach precision and landing safety) and DME (a system that guides enroute and approaching aircraft).

This comprehensive modernization program will increase the safety, reliability and efficiency of ILS/DME systems, thereby ensuring the landing precision of military and civil aircraft even in adverse weather conditions, and in compliance with safety requirements. of NATO.

The lifespan of the 13 ILS/DME systems concerned will be extended until at least 2035, by replacing ILS and DME components likely to impact the proper functioning of the systems due to their age.

Thales will also provide operational maintenance and support services to ensure maximum availability over the next 12 years.
