(CercleFinance.com) – Safran announces that it has entered into negotiations with Thales with a view to acquiring its aeronautical electrical systems business, which employs nearly 600 people and generated revenue of 124 million euros in 2021.
For Thales, this disposal project is part of the electronics group’s strategy to refocus on its core businesses in the fields of aerospace, defense and security, identity and digital security.
The proposed transaction is subject to the information consultation procedure of the relevant employee representative bodies of Thales and Safran, as well as to the usual regulatory authorizations. It would be completed in the course of 2023.
