A new survey, for which 213 HR professionals and 792 technology employees were interviewed, shows that AI is now seeping into HR documents.

More than half of HR employees working in tech companies said they use ChatGPT for tasks like training, surveys, performance reviews, recruiting, employee relations, and more. .

More than one in 10 employees even admitted to using ChatGPT to prepare for an employee’s dismissal, according to the survey.

Detach yourself more easily from difficult or emotionally charged situations

This is not the first time ChatGPT has been used for sensitive issues. As ZDNET previously reported, people are now using ChatGPT to write wedding vows and even eulogies.

Using an AI chatbot makes it easier to detach from difficult or emotionally charged situations, such as someone being fired. But using AI models for such tasks can also result in a loss of trust between employees and HR.
