Sosh is starting to alert its customers: mobile plans will take an extra euro per month from April. This increase has been expected since December.
This was a finding of the Ariase barometer on the average price of mobile plans: subscriptions are more expensive than before. In January 2022, you had to pay 16 euros. Now, the average stands at 19.17 euros, an increase of almost 20%. A trend that continues today, with the announcement of Sosh which is sent to its customers.
Sosh increases its packages by one euro
A Numerama journalist received an email from the operator announcing an increase of one euro on her monthly bill. This price increase, explains the company, aims to absorb part of the significant increase in our operating costs, in particular the energy that powers our mobile and Internet networks “.
Incidentally, the operator – which is the low-cost subsidiary of the Orange group – ensures that this development is contained. Customers do not bear all of the increase in operating costs on Internet user subscriptions. The mail, which was sent to a person whose monthly fee is 19.90 euros, does not say how much it would have been. Another person from the company also received a similar letter, about his Internet box €29.99 per month.
On Twitter, other Internet users reported receiving this email and expressed strong dissatisfaction. Customers who wish to do so can nevertheless take the opportunity of this letter to switch to another offer, at Sosh, or else try their luck at another mobile telephone operator who would display slightly more competitive rates.
The increase in these prices is not a surprise. In mid-December 2022, the French telecom giant announced its intention to increase all its offers by a few euros, precisely to collect the costs of the increase in the price of energy. On the other hand, there was uncertainty about the timing of this measure: it was the month of March that was envisaged. It will be April.
