Tom and Bill Kaulitz show their own music show “That’s My Jam”. But even before that, the two were welcome faces on TV.
The twins Tom and Bill Kaulitz (33) will start on May 12 with their music show “That’s My Jam with Bill & Tom Kaulitz”. RTL+ through. The two were best known for their band Tokio Hotel and their shrill styles. But the brothers are no strangers to the German TV landscape either.
Whether it’s “Markus Lanz”, “Inas Nacht” or “3nach9” – the two brothers have visited a number of talk shows over the years and answered interview questions from the moderators. In 2013 they were hired by “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”. In the tenth season of the casting show, you were part of the jury alongside pop titan Dieter Bohlen (69) and Mateo Jasik (44), founder and front singer of the band Culcha Candela. Before that, the twins took a two-year media hiatus. Beatrice Egli (34) won her season at the time.
In the family show “Klein gegen Groß” they won in 2017 against the then eleven-year-old Leonard. He wanted to compete against the duo and prove he could recognize more major cities by their subway lines. In the end, moderator Kai Pflaume (55) announced the victory of the two. “Pure luck”, Bill called his success.
In the summer of 2022, the Kaulitz brothers also proved their talent in the kitchen. In Jan Böhmermann’s (42) cooking talk, they prepared Grandma Kaulitz’s Christmas duck. They also served red cabbage and potato dumplings. Böhmermann, on the other hand, took his cue from the brothers’ adopted country and countered with pancakes.
A brother is more attracted to TV
Bill also did some solo TV projects. With his sister-in-law Heidi Klum (49) and singer Conchita Wurst (34) he was looking for the “Queen of Drags” on ProSieben. The 33-year-old has also been a guest judge alongside Klum several times on “Germany’s next top model”. In 2021, Bill moderated the show “Perfect Shot” on ProSieben. In 2023 he also took part in Joko Winterscheidt’s (44) “Who is stealing the show from me?” participated and was able to win in the final edition. He secured the puzzle booklet cover.
