The 12 noon shots: the ex-champion Damien moved to tears by evoking his missing parents

This Wednesday, on the occasion of the Combat des maîtres in Les 12 coups de midi, several former champions were present on the set to compete. Among them, the endearing Damien, who cracked up when he mentioned his deceased parents.

This week, Les 12 coups de midi celebrates its 12th anniversary. On this occasion, TF1’s flagship program organized a Battle of the Masters during which 56 former champions of the game compete to win the ultimate title. While Sonia, Antoine, Emilie and Arnauld clashed this Tuesday, this Wednesday, June 29, four new champions challenged each other on the set. Thus, the public was able to find Loris, the young 21-year-old student who had dethroned Bruno, but also Valentin, Léa and Damien. The latter particularly moved the audience by evoking his parents, both missing. “I’m thinking of your dad who left us, your mom who left us too… When you told us this very bad news, I was wholeheartedly with you”, launched Jean-Luc Reichmann. Damien then explained how the show had welded his own. “These are exceptional moments in life because it’s an adventure that I was able to share with all my family, because my parents had surprised me by coming to see me during almost the whole adventure which is something they usually didn’t do because they were living abroad. It was really a family adventure, and now, again, we have this attachment to the 12 noon shots which remains a moment of joy, truly representative of this family union.“, he let go, tears in his eyes.

Touched by the emotion of Damien, Jean-Luc Reichmann approached the candidate to put a little balm to his heart. “I’m here, we’re here, and we’re holding on, you know“, launched the host before adding: “There are a lot of people who are no longer there… It was the birthday of my dad yesterday (died in September 2016, editor’s note)…he was also often close to me…I assure you that they are watching us, huh!”. Face split with a smile, Damien then replied: “I’m sure they’re still there!”.
