For this sixth season of official football esports competition in France, eLigue 1, playstation France will be the official partner of the championship. A collaboration that will allow the French league on FIFA 22 to be played on the latest PlayStation console. All matches in the competition will be played on PS5, which will be provided to clubs. In addition, the manufacturer will win consoles for fans.
Ten teams will be in the running to lift the 2022 trophy, with Bordeaux, Lille, Lorient, OL, OM, Monaco, Montpellier, Nantes, PSG and Strasbourg. Competitors will play a grand final on June 4 with, at the end of the day, a unprecedented cash prize of €60,000 and 3 qualifying places for the FIFA 22 Global Series Playoffs. The whole season will be broadcast on the League One channel Twich.
As part of this partnership, the company will also organize the “Fan Cups by eLigue 1”, online tournaments on FIFA 22 with many prizes to be won. Last year, FC Lorient of Fouma and Leandro (players of Atlantide Wave) won the title, against Olympique de Marseille. The 2022 season will be played in the spring, between March 1 and June 4, while eLigue1 Open 2021-2022 is currently being played with the national playoffs of this amateur competition scheduled for February 23 and 24.
