The 246cm LG 97G2, the largest Oled TV, will be sold for €25,000

LG Electronics is therefore the first television manufacturer to announce the release of a 97-inch model, or about 246 cm diagonally, the LG 97G2. It is quite simply the largest Oled TV on the market. This model, which is part of the manufacturer’s Gallery range, is designed to hang on the wall and is therefore sold without a stand. It embeds an OLED EX panel using a cooling system and can display a 30% higher peak brightness compared to a conventional OLED TV. It is expected that the LG G2 models will finally tease the Panasonic JZ1500/JZ2000 televisions with peak brightness close to 1000 cd/m². Like the other G2 models, this very large Oled TV features the new Alpha 9 Gen 5 processor and the new webOS 22 system. Microphones are also integrated into the TV for hands-free use. This year, LG offers the Always Ready feature, which allows the TV to display information on the screen following a voice request.

If the LG 97G2 television remains reserved for a niche, it still makes it possible to lower the price of other large Oled televisions, since the LG 83G2 is announced at 6500 € and the LG 77G2 at 5000 €. Even more interesting, the LG 77C2 and 83C2 are marketed at respective prices of 3800 and 6000 €. In comparison, the first 77-inch LG Oled, the LG 77C8, was priced at €10,000 in 2018, then €8,000 with the LG 77C9 in 2019. There will probably be some very good deals to be had on these large sizes at the end of the season. year or early next year. We still remember the LG 77C1 which was destocked at €2,000 at Fnac at the end of 2021.
