Netflix is full of series, films, documentaries and cartoons of all kinds, but also offers reality TV where love is the heart of the plot.
In search of true love. If romances and teen series are no longer enough to satisfy the most romantic, Netflix also offers some dating shows. The concepts are always more original than each other, but the principle remains the same: to find love.
“One sees clearly only with the heart”wrote Antoine de Saint-Exupéry in The little Prince. And that’s the whole point of the show love is blind : what is essential is invisible to the eye. Born in the United States, this reality show allows singles to talk without seeing each other. They won’t be able to meet face to face until they get engaged. They then have the opportunity to live together, then to get married… or not. Good news for those who would hang on to the program: there are two American seasons, as well as Brazilian and Japanese versions.
Another more traditional method: the matchmaker. It is on this well-known technique that the program Indian Matchmaking is based. Reality TV tries to offer a more modern version of the arranged marriage. After the success of the first two seasons, Netflix renewed for a third.

Netflix or the revival of dating
If you liked temptation islandYou will like The Ultimatum: We get married or it’s over. In this show in ten episodes, couples are already formed. The only problem: one of the two partners wants to get married and the other does not. The program therefore offers each of them the meet other people to figure out what they really want, for better… and for worse.
Although the concept of blind date is already well known, the Netflix program Sexy Beasts took the concept one step further. Indeed, when single people meet, they are not in the dark, but made up with prostheses to look like animals, so that physique is no longer an important criterion.
Between documentary and reality TV, love on the spectrum follows singles who are part of autism spectrum in search of love. Hailing from Australia, the show was also developed for a release in the United States. The first already has two seasons, and its American version was renewed last September.
