When series influence fashion

Sparkling, funny … Everyone loved the Emily In Paris series, and even more the looks of the Lily Collins! Upon launch in October, Lyst saw a 342% increase in searches for Kangol bobs, while searches for berets rose 41% the week after the series was released. Finally, searches for Ganni skirts jumped significantly when the asymmetrical yellow model appeared in the series.

One might wonder how this series has influenced fashion! And yet, one piece of jewelry in particular has sparked consumer enthusiasm. This is a silver chain worn by Connell, the main character played by Paul Mescal. The buzz caused by this piece of jewelry led to the creation of an Instagram account dubbed @connellschain, while searches for men's chain necklaces increased by 43% year over year.

So there clearly, the only thing that comes to mind is: "WTF?". But yes, Joe Exotic will not have gone unnoticed! Its sequined shirts and other animal prints have even managed to influence our dress style. After the launch of the documentary series, searches for animal prints tripled during the month of April. Better yet, Kenzo branded pieces with the keyword "tiger" have increased by 200%.

Everyone was fascinated by the mini-series dedicated to the magnificent career of American basketball player Michael Jordan! After the first two episodes aired, searches for Nike's famous Air Jordan sneakers increased by 36%. The same goes for basketball outfits like shorts (+ 12%) and jerseys (+ 20%). Moreover, at the present time, it is still very complicated to get your hands on a pair of Jordan!

In this series, Michaela Coel lends her features to Arabella, a young party writer who was raped under GHB. The aesthetic of her clothes mixes the 90s and the fashion of influencers. Everyone loved Arabella's vintage look! Its patterned cardigans have also seen a 43% increase in searches from the first week of the series.
