In episode 4 of the France 2 mini-series “L’Abîme”, Sara Mortensen and Gil Alma shot a scene on a boat in particularly difficult conditions because of the heat… The actress remembers this painful moment.
The broadcast of L’Abîme continues on France 2. On Wednesday February 15, the channel offered the public to follow episodes 3 and 4 of its new mini-series carried by Gil Alma and Sara Mortensen from 9:10 p.m. Here, the actors play the main roles by playing Elsa and Laurent, a married couple with a teenage daughter.

Seemingly perfect, their family life changes when Elsa mysteriously disappears while jogging. Haunted by a past that she hoped to leave behind forever, she and her loved ones find themselves hunted down and in great danger…
In the second part of the evening, the character played by Sara Mortensen (who confided in this experience) finally confesses to her husband. Indeed, Elsa reveals her tortured story to Laurent and he then understands why his wife has protected his heavy secrets for so many years… A capital moment, therefore, shot nevertheless in less than optimal conditions.
As Sara Mortensen told AlloCiné, the boxing of these sequences took place in a small space when the heat was barely bearable. The actress recalled:In the cabin of the boat, when she tells her man what happened in his life, it was 40 degrees that day… So we were a whole film crew in this little boat, where there is no room…“
Overwhelming heat on set
The star of Astrid and Raphaëlle (who revealed to us about season 4) continued: “Our cameraman was in the bed between us, with his knees touching us! The boom operator was upstairs with a large black cloth over his head to block out the light… He almost fainted! At one point his pole fell because he had heatstroke.“
“We were all dripping with heat and we were close to suffocating, glued to each other… But it’s nice, it creates bonds! (laughs)“, concludes today with fun Sara Mortensen. An experience she will remember for a long time!
