The Aces of the Jungle 2: the crazy animals are back in the cinema in a great wacky adventure

Go on an adventure with “The Jungle Bunch 2 – Operation around the world”! The animated heroes have less than a month to save the jungle! At the cinema this Wednesday, August 16.

RECOMMENDED FROM 6 YEARS

Once upon a time : Who do you call to help when a mysterious supervillain covers the jungle with pink foam that explodes on contact with water? Jungle Aces! Less than a month before the rainy season, the race against time is on. From the North Pole to the Far East, crossing mountains, deserts and oceans, our heroes will have to travel the world in search of an antidote, far from their favorite jungle!

What they will love: The Aces of the jungle are going on an adventure! Six years after the first feature film, the heroes of the French studio TAT Productions are back for a world tour full of action and jokes entitled Les As de la jungle 2 – Opération tour du monde.

Directed by Benoit Somville, Yannick Moulin and Laurent Bru, this new opus allows us to find the heroes of the hit series, Maurice the penguin, Junior the fish, Gilbert the tarsier, Miguel the gorilla and Batricia the bat, in an unprecedented adventure. In this film, Gilbert and Batricia are now a couple, Miguel is still as passionate about bananas and Maurice will fall under the spell of the newcomer: Camélia.

In Operation Around the World, our heroes will have to travel the world in search of an antidote. A funny and action-packed adventure that will amuse young and old viewers and can definitely be seen if you haven’t seen the previous installment.

SND

The film breathes a breath of fresh air into the saga by introducing new characters, in particular Camélia, an adventurous and daredevil armadillo with whom Maurice falls instantly in love, and Albert, the latter’s scientist father. The feature film also allows you to discover the world beyond the jungle of the Aces. An ambitious film that has nothing to envy to the great adventure comedies.

A film full of references

With its many winks and puns that refer to works of popular culture such as the fable by Jean de La Fontaine “The Fox and the Crow”, Kung Fu Panda, Pacman, Indiana Jones, The Shadoks or Pokémon, the film will delight viewers. Parisians will also appreciate what the Aces describe as the “worst place on the planet” and which looks just like the French capital.

Faithful to the animated series, the feature film is full of schoolboy gags that will amuse the whole family: Pepito and his “atomic pee”, Miguel who takes the toad Al for a banana…

SND

Voxophiles will appreciate meeting the dubbing actors of the series: Philippe Bozo (Mauritius), Laurent Morteau (Gilbert), Pascal Casanova (Miguel), Céline Monsarrat (Batricia), Emmanuel Curtil (Al le crapaud), Paul Borne (le crapaud Bob) and the newcomers: Léopoldine Serre (Camélia), Frédéric Cerdal (Albert), Jérémie Covillaut (Henry), Xavier Fagnon (Youri) and Gauthier Battoue (Sergueï).

What can scare them: The film being faithful to the spirit of the series, if your children are fans of the animated adventures of these atypical heroes, you know what to expect! Only a scene explaining how Camélia was injured when she was a child can worry the most sensitive, but nothing really scary.

The father/daughter relationship between Albert and Camélia is the red thread of the film. Abandoned by her father, the young heroine manages to find him and discovers the regrets of the old armadillo who was unable to protect his daughter from the terrible beaver.

SND

What they will keep inside them: Children will be happy to find the heroes of their series on the big screen and witness a whole new adventure.

Created by Jean-François Tosti, David Alaux and Éric Tosti via their Toulouse-based studio, TAT Productions, Les As de la jungle are the heroes of several series and films. The series The Aces of the Jungle live, broadcast from 2011 and the series The Aces of the Jungle to the rescue (2014).

On the cinema side, the medium-length film Les As de la jungle: Opération banquise was screened in theaters in April 2013 and the feature film Les As de la jungle, released in July 2017, recorded 692,685 admissions. In addition to succeeding in narratively extending the pre-existing universe, the first feature film was the fourth most viewed French film, all genres combined, abroad in 2017.

With Around the world operationthe studio goes beyond and opens up the cinematic universe of the Aces (and develops the diet of Miguel who, after bananas, discovers Camembert!).
