Surprise, the great Red Bull tournament will finally return this year with a grand finale at Heidelberg Castle. And this year, players will also be able to compete on Age of Empires IV.
The Red Bull Wololo tournament will be back in 2022 for a sixth edition with the Red Bull Wololo: Legacy, a competition over several games and a final in LAN on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the strategy franchise. And after five editions on Age of Empires 2, this new format will allow players to compete on AoE Definitive Edition, AoE 2 Definitive Edition and Age of Empires IV.
The Open Qualifiers are already open to everyone, and the best players will be able to secure a place for the LAN which will be played at Heidelberg Castle in Germany from October 21 to 30, 2022, a historic venue which had already seen the final of the Wololo V tournament last year with 77,000 simultaneous viewers. At the time Red Bull had indicated that this tournament was to conclude the series. It had been won by TheViper from GamerLegion.
