With inflation and rising energy prices, the state had implemented rebates at the pump, but these are coming to an end after nine months. To replace them, seven million motorists could apply for a fuel allowance of 100 eurosto receive from this Friday, January 27.
Can you benefit from the fuel allowance?
Set up on January 16, the “after-discount” aid aims 10 million workers who need their car to go to work or to work. Enough to allow French people who use their vehicle in a professional setting to fill their tank.
According to Bruno Le Maire, this compensation, which is more targeted than discounts at the pump, has not yet been claimed by 3 million people. This would represent 70% of possible beneficiaries : “Seven million can still request it”, explained the Minister of the Economy to Europe 1 on Tuesday.
The criteria for obtaining the fuel allowance are simple: use a vehicle, car or two-wheeler, to get to work ; and have a reference tax income per share less than or equal to 14,7000 euros annually.
If you are concerned, you have until February 28 to make your request on the tax website. You must enter your tax number, then your license plate and a sworn statement stating that you need your car to go to work.
Bruno Le Maire explains: “The system is extremely simple, I haven’t had any negative feedback from those who went to register on the site of the General Directorate of Public Finances, but there are people who do not come to request this help, I tell them to go do it, it’s a support for purchasing power”.
Accuracy, the help concerns each individual and not household. If both members of a couple meet the criteria, then both can benefit.
