“The analyzes are not completed”, the investigation still not resolved 3 months after the discovery of the body

Two disappearances moved the French this year. That of Lina, the 15-year-old girl who has still not been found. And that of little Émile, which occurred in July 2023 and whose remains were discovered now 3 months. But the discovery of his bones did not allow the investigation to be closed. This was clearly made known by Jean-Luc Blachon, the public prosecutor of Aix-en-Provence, this Friday, June 21, 2024.

“The analyzes are not completed”, he simply declared. A summary statement which suggests that the investigation to determine the circumstances of the death of little Émile is still not resolved. As a reminder, his bones were discovered three months earlier in a forest in Haut-Vernet by a hiker. And the little boy’s death certificate has still not been signed. A certificate which allows Émile’s family to undertake administrative and civil procedures.

“It is important for the family because at some point, the child must be declared dead and it can only be if we are certain of his death. It is the investigating judges who give this certificate,” explained a source close to the matter to BFM DICI. It is up to François Balique, the mayor of Vernet, to sign this death certificate. And if the act will be signed in the coming days, the child’s bones will not be given to his family.

BFM TV revealed that the trail assumed that little Émile would have died after getting lost on his own is not not favored by investigators. “If we were certain that the child was lost, we would stop everything. And we don’t have that certainty at all. We are far from it and we are still working to not let anything slip by.” indicated a source who closely follows the Émile affair.

And the latter would have told him that the little boy was eaten. “He left alone, he got lost and he was eaten by wolves”revealed the medium, sure of himself, in the columns of Release.

But do investigators really take the mediums’ statements seriously? “A bit like these patients for whom traditional medicine has remained powerless and who, as a last resort, turn to alternative medicine, the police sometimes call on people like me, mediums, for help where all their logic, all their pragmatic skills have failed”, had entrusted Geneviève Delpech to Release.
