Nimona saved by Netflix

About a year ago, Disney bought Fox and closed the Blue Sky Studios studio. In addition to leaving many employees on the floor, this abruptly ended several projects, including the screen adaptation of the comics Nimona by ND Stevenson. Then 75% produced, according to rumors, the film had since been looking for someone to save it.

Today, the non-binary author and Netflix (who previously collaborated on She-Ra and the Princess of Power, work headed by Stevenson) announce that the film will see the light of day in 2023 on the SVoD service. It is up to Annapurna Pictures to take over what has been started. It has also been confirmed that Chloe Moretz (Kick-Ass) would lend his voice to the main character, while Riz Ahmed (RogueOne) and Eugene Lee Yang (member of The Try Guys) will also be part of the voice cast.

Remember that the expected Nimona takes place in a medieval world tinged with technology and fantasy. The eponymous heroine is a metamorph, determined to show that the power in place is harmful, by confronting as much as possible the prejudices of her opponents.
