The antenna of France Inter temporarily pirate in the East of Paris during the evening election-Le Monde

PARIS, April 10 (Reuters) – France Inter’s antenna was temporarily hacked on Sunday evening for more than an hour during election night, Le Monde reported in its online edition on Sunday.

“A speech against the politicians, the technocrats or the journalists was diffused in loop at the time of the announcement of the results of the first turn”, indicates the newspaper.

France Inter specified that “a pirate transmitter (had) blown the frequency of the station”, reports the daily. The incident was discovered by a listener’s tweet, the radio said, adding that only the network covering the 20th arrondissement of Paris had been affected.

“Friends listeners from eastern Paris, some of you were disturbed by listening to our election evening,” wrote Laurence Bloch, director of France Inter, on Twitter. “We are absolutely sorry about this and are doing everything to understand what happened and prevent it from happening again.”

Le Monde reports that the radio received no complaints.
