the April 2024 games, with a nice surprise

It will be a special month for subscribers to the PS Plus Extra and Premium plans. Sony is indeed banking on two day one releases, and we now know which games will accompany them.

Each month, Sony makes a trio of games available to all PS Plus subscribers to keep. For the April batch, the publisher has therefore focused on a title from the EA Originals label full of magic, Minecraft with action-RPG sauce and an excellent independent platformer. Those who have subscribed to the Extra and Premium formulas are entitled to a second batch. Next week, around ten games will join the respective catalogs of the two offers. We now know what the April 2024 PS Plus Extra and Premium games will be.

PS Plus Extra games for April 2024

Almost two short years since PlayStation Plus launched its redesign. From now on, the service offers three distinct offers, the two small new ones openly inspired by what was at the time of PS Now and its competitor Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers can discover a handful of additional titles each month thanks to a constantly evolving catalog. The PS Plus Extra and Premium of April 2024, however, will break its routine. The Japanese manufacturer has indeed created a surprise by announcing not one but two day one releases for the month. The excellent independent game Dave the Diver will launch hostilities on the occasion of its launch on PS5. A truly original title, combining exploration and management of a sushi restaurant, all sprinkled with mini-games.

Tales of Kenzera Zau as for it, it will be fully discovered upon its release on April 23 with PS Plus Extra and Premium. The new production from the EA Originals label has everything to seduce on paper. In this side-scrolling metroidvania inspired by the myths of Bantu cultures, players follow Zau’s journey on a quest to become a spiritual healer and free tormented souls. A particularly promising and refreshing title which will therefore arrive a little after the rest of the PS Plus Extra games. Exactly, here is the list of titles which will join the catalog from on April 16, 2024, around 11 a.m., French time. Little surprise, there will be a third playable game upon launch and it will be available in May.
