The Art of Crime on France 2: what awaits you in season 6

Monday December 12 and Monday December 19, 2022, France 2 invites its viewers to discover the two investigations that make up season 6 of “The Art of Crime”. Intrigues, guests… Discover here the surprises that await you in these events sections.

This Monday, December 12, 2022, France 2 is launching the broadcast of season 6 of The Art of Crime, which is divided into two parts of 90 minutes each. From 9:10 p.m., viewers will thus follow the first investigation of the colorful tandem formed by Antoine Verlay (Nicolas Gob) and Florence Chassagne (Eleonore Bernheim).

A season 6 in two parts

As a reminder, the first is a brilliant cop but uneducated in art, while the second is a talented and whimsical art historian. Both are confronted in this new season with the universe of two immense artists: Édouard Manet and Edvard Munch, whose works echo more than ever the ambiguous relationship between our duo.

In the episode presented this evening to fans of the series, which is called “The New Olympia”, it all begins when a young woman is mysteriously found murdered in a photo studio. Antoine and Florence discover that this murder is linked to Chez Tortoni, a masterpiece by Édouard Manet that disappeared more than thirty years ago in the mythical theft from the Boston museum. By tracing the trail of the stolen painting, will they be able to find the murderer?

The star actors of fiction will give the answer here to their comrades Philippe Duclos (Pierre Chassagne), Benjamin Egner (Alex Prado) or even Salomé Partouche (Adèle Attias). But that’s not all since Vincent Winterhalter (Clément Courrège), David Baiot (Jean-Louis Marquet), Clément Aubert (Philippe Courrège) and Laurent Bateau (Édouard Manet) will intervene as guests.

many guests

Next week, Monday December 19 from 9:10 p.m., France 2 will offer the public the second investigation of season 6 of The Art of Crime, whose title is “Le cri du vampire”. In the catacombs of Paris, a young woman disguised as a vampire is found murdered, lying in a coffin, a stake driven into her heart… Near the corpse, a reproduction of Munch’s Vampire painting is found.

Antoine and Florence will investigate within the theater troupe in which the victim, an actress, played. But, for our duo, it is difficult to work when feelings get involved… Here again, Nicolas Gob and Eleonore Bernheim will welcome special guests, namely Florent Peyre (Stéphane Delage) and Alban Casterman (Edvard Munch). Two appointments not to be missed!
