The ASUS ROG Phone 6 appears on GeekBench and reveals all its power

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 scores impressively on Geekbench. We are holding perhaps the most powerful future Android smartphone of its time.

The new generation of the reference range of gaming smartphones will soon arrive on the market. The ASUS ROG Phone 6 was spotted on a Geekbench benchmark which gives us some clues about its performance and specs.

The most powerful chip for an Android smartphone

The smartphone scores 1,323 in single-core and 4,238 in multi-core. We could have suspected it, but we have confirmation: the ASUS ROG Phone 6 should be a more powerful mobile than any other Android device currently on the market.

Intended in particular for the use of video games, the terminal is equipped with the new SoC from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. The model tested on Geekbench has 16 GB of RAM. Variants with 12 or 18 GB of RAM should also see the light of day.

The performance gain will not only be at the CPU level, since the chip also benefits from a faster GPU which should, among other things, save a few frames per second in game.

A 165 Hz screen and a huge battery

And that’s good, because the ASUS ROG Phone 6 has a screen with a better refresh rate: 165 Hz, compared to 144 Hz for its predecessor, for even more fluidity of the image. The panel has a diagonal of 6.78 inches, the same size as on the ROG Phone 5. For a better gaming experience and multimedia immersion, the front photo sensor does not encroach on the screen in the form of a notch or punch.

All this power and this display capacity are necessarily energy-intensive, so autonomy is entrusted to a very large 6,000 mAh battery. The 65 W wired recharge will quickly supply the battery.

The ASUS ROG Phone 6 will be officially presented on July 5 at 2 p.m. CET. Launch events are planned in Taipei, Berlin and New York for the occasion, which suggests an upcoming availability in Europe. It remains to be seen at what price.
