High performance, beautiful finishes

If we include the ASUS ROG Ryuo III 360 ARGB in our comparison of the best water cooling, it is firstly because of its excellent cooling performance. ASUS watercooling is able to maintain low temperatures even with the most powerful processors, like the Intel Core i9-14900K, even under full load.

The kit features an 8th generation Asetek pump, which is one of the highest performing and most reliable pumps on the market. It ensures high water flow and quiet operation.

The ROG 120mm fans included with the kit are also very efficient. They use Axial-tech technology for optimized airflow and quiet operation.

In addition, this AIO watercooling kit is very well designed and its finishes are neat. The pump block is brushed aluminum with an illuminated ROG logo. The fans also have addressable RGB lighting that can be synced with the rest of your system

What is ASUS watercooling worth compared to competition of the same price?

There are two models we can compare ASUS’s cooling system to: the MSI MEG CoreLiquid S360 and the Corsair iCUE H170i ELITE LCD XT.

Let’s start with MSI’s watercooling. In our opinion, it offers better value for money. It is more than €130 cheaper, but offers fairly equivalent cooling performance, and it is also less noisy. The ASUS ROG Ryuo III 360 ARGB stands out for its exceptional finishes, its RGB and the quality of its Asetek 8th gen pump.

And what about the Corsair iCUE H170i ELITE LCD XT? It is available at a similar price (within €20-30, depending on the merchant) and provides equivalent cooling performance. Both models have RGB. Corsair nevertheless has the advantage of offering a complete ecosystem, to manage the RGB of all the manufacturer’s peripherals from a single software.

ASUS, quality watercooling

If this is not the product for which it is best known, ASUS offers very good watercooling, more generally leveraging its expertise in the manufacturing of computer components.

The Ryujin range (Ryujin II and Ryujin III) is the most recent AiO watercooling series from ASUS. The manufacturer offers several high-performance cooling solutions. The models are available according to their aesthetics and RGB, fan references (for example Noctua fans for the ROG Ryujin III), etc.

Among other things, Ryujin’s “III” series is distinguished by the addition of an LCD screen on the watercooling block. Certainly a bit gimmicky, but still attractive from an aesthetic and personalization point of view.
