New features are coming to the Audi Q4 e-tron in the 2022 version, and will please those who are impatiently waiting for their vehicle. Fast charging is improving and a new screen for infotainment is available.
The electric SUV of the brand with the four rings continues to improve in 2022. Indeed, Audi communicated to indicate that fast charging will become even more efficient, that a new screen for the infotainment is available, and more .
Ever faster fast charging
The German manufacturer has just announced that the Audi Q4 e-tron and Q4 e-tron Sportback (its coupe version) can now charge up to 135 kW of power. The charging time is thus reduced to 29 minutes to go from 5 to 80% battery under ideal conditions for vehicles equipped with the 77 kWh battery pack.
This time also drops to 36 minutes for the Audi Q4 45 e-tron quattro, Q4 50 e-tron quattro and Q4 Sportback 50 e-tron quattro.
The manufacturer states that “these improvements are based on software optimized for thermal management and battery control systems”, which seems to indicate that this can be applied to vehicles already in circulation using a remote update.
Built-in Amazon Alexa, evolving app, and a bigger screen
Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa, is integrated into the Audi Connect system: drivers will be able to manage devices connected to Alexa from their vehicle. The manufacturer also recalls that a new 11.6-inch screen (1,764 x 824 pixels) replaces the old 10.2-inch screen to become the largest screen ever used on a brand vehicle.
Finally, the myAudi application, which allows communication with the vehicle, offers new practical functions. Pre-planned routes can be shared to the vehicle directly from the app. Charging stops will be automatically added, taking into account traffic but also the driver’s consumption history.
