The Bachelor: Niko Griesert makes it exciting

A Bachelor's degree has never made it so exciting: Niko Griesert actually brings back Michèle, who was actually eliminated, for the finale.

"You kill me for it": The finale of this year's "Bachelor" season (March 17th, 8:15 pm, RTL and TVNow) begins with a confession from the Bachelor to the production team. As was to be feared at the end of the last episode, Niko Griesert (30) could not forget the selected Michèle (27) – and met her again in secret after the semifinals. "I had to see her again, no matter what rules I break, no matter how it comes across, I didn't care at the moment." Just so much: it won't last at this one meeting.

But first it's Mimi (26) turn. We remember: The official favorite of this year's season, who has long been the winner for many viewers. She was the first to meet the Bachelor on the show, she was the first to get a single date, she was the first to get a rose, and the first (and only) to have an overnight date. Now the two of them have their last date. In which Niko goes after the emotional confusion with Michèle with mixed feelings: "I want to spend such a nice day with her – but I also know that the feelings for Michèle are really blatant …"

Mimi manages to tear Niko out of his confusion of emotions. At the latest when they are watching the most beautiful scenes of their time together in the cinema, Niko's tears flow incessantly with emotion and emotion. "When I see the video, I think I can buy the engagement ring right away," said Niko afterwards. "This is the most beautiful film I've ever seen," says Mimi. In the evening the two meet in front of the fireplace in his hotel room and spend the night there together. But Mimi worries that this last date could also be their last meeting if he decides against her in the final. Niko replies unusually distant: "Can't we talk about it?"

He can be more honest with the camera: Even if nothing is wrong with Mimi, he is not one hundred percent sure. "There are things about me that I need an answer to." And now he's going to get it. Plottwist, call Michèle: "I can't promise you anything, but I really want to see you again." – "Nothing better than that," agrees Michèle, completely overwhelmed and in tears. Michèle is the first ever "Bachelor" candidate to return to the show.

What about Stephie anyway?

But first the Bachelor has to break a heart – because Stephie (25), who is actually in the final against Mimi, doesn't know anything about her misfortune. Griesert visits her in her hotel room: "I don't want to talk about the bush. (…) But I now know that the decision in the semifinals was not the right one. I now know that I couldn't give you the last rose . " What he cannot give her either is a good reason. The decision for her was a head decision. Stephie maintains composure, at least as long as Niko is still in the room: "The bad thing is that it was clear to me from the start. That you will never choose me."

In a candle-lit barn in front of huge, glowing "Love" letters, the drama couple Michèle and Niko finally meet again. Whereby Michèle is like a changed man. The fact that Niko took so much upon herself to see her again gives her the security of showing her true feelings for him: "I totally regretted that I didn't really allow all of this to happen because of my feelings. That's why I am right now all the happier that I can now reveal to him everything that I have ever thought or felt for him. " Even Niko quickly notices the new Michèle: "She opened up to me and took away my doubts."

The two also look at their joint "Bachelor" story again. Only now does Niko see how positively Michèle talked about him in front of the camera. And another misunderstanding is cleared up: It wasn't him who wrote to Michèle on Instagram at the time, but she who took the first step. In the evening in Niko's hotel room, the two get even closer. Michèle stays overnight, after which she tells the camera that she is now "completely addicted" to him. "It is a great complete package. It is beautiful," agrees Niko. After saying goodbye the next morning, Michèle can't hold back her tears. While still in the hotel corridor, she expresses her greatest fear of being rejected on the last night of the roses: "It would hurt me really badly and I don't know if I could catch myself there again so quickly. (…) Because now I have I completely got involved. "

"My heart beats for two women"

Now Niko has a big problem. Both of the last dates were great, both women are wholeheartedly involved and he still doesn't know what to do: "My heart beats for two women, that's so incredibly blatant. (…) My wish is that me I know exactly what I want, "says Niko in tears – and describes himself as a" wrong cast ".

The last night of the roses. A cold factory hall, an avenue of lights, a Bachelor, a rose. First comes Michèle. Niko looks back over his journey, the cat and mouse game and the many small steps of cautious approach and the last date with her. "I'm so grateful to you for that that you let yourself go and opened yourself up to me. Because I also know how difficult it was for you …" he says while holding her hands. Take another deep breath, but then, the fierce truth: In the end he fell in love with Mimi.

This time the farewell to Michèle is different. Niko tries to be good: "But everything I told you …" – "You can give it to yourself", she finishes the sentence. Where the first non-rose was still a warm Michèle who wished him all the luck in the world, there is now a block of ice: "He doesn't deserve a tear anymore," says Michèle in the car. "I should have listened to my gut instinct, then I wouldn't have allowed so much in the first place."

So Mimi. Nikos declaration of love makes both of them cry: "Mimi, you are my dream woman, my home and my Mimi, Moja Mimi. Mimi, you are easy to love. Mimi, if you jump, I jump too. You are my favorite thought. I have one more question for you, the very last one – and if you say yes, I'll pack you up and we'll go home. Mimi, would you like to accept this very last rose? " Of course she does. Despite all the trials and tribulations: In this case, the first should actually be the last.
