The Bachelor: That's not how Niko had imagined it

In their uncertainty, the women are looking for clarifying individual discussions – which Bachelor Niko Griesert does not find good at all.

The mountain is calling: The Bachelor and his chosen ones move into a chalet in Bavaria after the party metropolis Berlin. But there can be no talk of relaxed mountain idyll in the fifth episode of "Der Bachelor" (February 17, 8:15 pm, RTL and TVNow).

First, Niko Griesert (30) kidnaps Jaqueline S. (23) for a champagne picnic at sunset. Nico doesn't let the opportunity slip by to assure his counterpart how great he thinks her. To do this, he unpacks his favorite compliment, among other things: "You just shine all the time." In fact, the conversation between the two is more familiar and fluid than on the other dates. Niko then sums up: "With Jacky you automatically feel good."

In the house, however, things are not so harmonious: Linda (25) grabs the only single room when distributing the rooms and announces quite uncompromisingly: "You can't get me out of there, I'll tell you honestly." Zack, says Linda herself a snoring problem and thus a good reason for her bedchamber. Esther (22) saves the situation by billing the loudest snorer, Denise (24), with Linda. Let's see which room is now better for sleeping.

Laura (22) is allowed to celebrate her birthday on a group date on the ice, but she hopes for more: "Either a single date is slowly coming up or I'm not really getting on with my feelings." Instead of the birthday boy, the Bachelor goes back to the reserved Michéle – for the fifth time in a row, as he finds out desperately: "It is written on my forehead that I think you are good."

Much envy of Michéle

After the next action at the latest, it should be clear to everyone: Niko comes to the girls with a big present and announces that he is now kidnapping them for a single date. Serious disappointment, not just for birthday girl Laura: It's Michéle again. This dynamic is also a problem for the other women. Stephie (25): "Difficult because you always have the feeling that he has already subconsciously decided for her. (…) If a man always does a lot on his own, then it shows everything." Denise: "I have the feeling that it vibes a lot. Because he approaches her again and again and she doesn't have to do anything."

Yes, it vibes, especially with Nico. Meanwhile, after a romantic candlelight dinner with Michéle, who wears a snow-white princess dress, he floats through the candle-lit ice rink and just asks: "Why are you so great?" Meanwhile, Stephi is in top form in the house: She is firmly convinced that Michéle only finds Niko good because he is a bachelor and she expects new followers from it – otherwise she would have met with him earlier. In fact, Niko and Michéle had contact via Instagram before the show. No wonder that Niko finally senses his big chance. Unbearable for Stephi: "I'm just so upset about this fake act."

Michéle really doesn't have to do anything to make the Bachelor dream. While he showered her with compliments, she said: "You can work with that." What he thinks is good again: "I like how you flirt." Apparently he just likes everything about her. There is also the next rose for that. "How can you like something like that? (…) I could throw up with something like that," Stephie continues to grumble.

Linda is also getting on with faxes. The next day, she is invited to a wellness group date. However, she throws the card straight away: "I don't feel like going on a group date. Getting a group date after such a long time is very, very humiliating." On the date she gives him a clear message: "I felt neglected." A few compliments later, Linda is also calmed down again – he thinks. This time Mimi pulls the jackpot, with whom he wants to end the evening – and the night.

Niko loses a piece of his heart

In a sea of sheepskins and fairy lights, the two deepen their connection: "When I hug, I like how well you fit in," says Niko. They cuddle, nudge their noses, suggest feelings and kiss. Before it gets too nice, Mimi asks: "Tell me something negative about yourself" and Niko answers truthfully: "I'm the Bachelor." True, that's really a problem, but not today. "It was just the perfect moment," said Mimi. "It was a magical moment for me, it was perfect," agrees Niko, who "has definitely lost a piece of my heart again".

The fifth night of the roses takes place in costume and with a hearty snack. Linda, Denise, Stephi, Jaqueline B, they all try to find out in one-on-one conversations where they stand at the Bachelor's degree – and screw up the tour themselves. "It's about tactical banter, about other women, you lose my interest …", explains the rather annoyed Bachelor of the camera his opinion about these "confirmation talks". Hannah (28) does it better: She and Niko laugh together, he calls her "my mental wellness oasis".

At the award ceremony, Niko explains to the women that he feels that he is under heavy pressure: "I had the feeling that the topics of conversation were repeated and that it was about rose yes or no, and these are not the conversations that bring us forward." He asks the assembled team in the future for "conversations that you can build on and look forward to." With Denise – who got the first kiss a few episodes ago – he can no longer imagine these conversations. "It's stagnated," he says. Laura has to go too, but she takes it calmly: "It was the right decision."
