The Bachelorette: After this date, Melissa and the men lose their mood

After the second individual date with Ioannis and the first kiss, Bachelorette Melissa invites the Greek to spend the night with her.

On the diapers, get set, go: Before the mood really goes down in the fifth episode, the boys are allowed to prove their dad skills. Whether the games, including baby picture rates, diaper changes and feeding bottles, have really helped Melissa (25) with regard to possible dad qualities? After all, Leander (22) can no longer part with his baby doll, which makes for one of the few laughs in this episode.

While most of them simply ask for a one-to-one conversation, Ioannis (30) has a different strategy for forcing one with the princess: he separates himself from the group. When Melissa asks, he addresses his old problem: "I'd like to have the woman I'm interested in, all by myself and not in a whole horde." Even after five episodes, he does not want to see that he is on a dating show with seven other men.

Ioannis should get his chance, but first it is Daniel G. (28) turn. Melissa ends the evening with him. At sunset it's all about first impressions, selection criteria and the "jackpot" Melissa. Even if the Bachelorette rates the date as "one of the best" so far, there is only one hug at the end. The next day it's Ioannis' turn. In the oldtimer we go about Crete, plus deep conversations about Melissa's fear of disappointing people (read: Ioannis). Appropriately, he already addresses a wedding at a vantage point. The date ends with a candlelight dinner over the roofs of Chania. Ioannis has problems relaxing, with beads of sweat on his forehead he says: "The situation is too good, that's the problem, you usually only know it from films, now I'm in the middle of the film."

"I am not an animal"

For Melissa, his wish to feed her strawberries is not quite as cinematic. He: "I know you don't like it, but you have to learn it." Melissa: "No, I'm not an animal." Or when she lies in his arms and he notes rather than asking: "Are you enjoying it? I notice that, I feel that." What he doesn't feel is the right time for the first kiss. To do this, he needs Melissa, who interrupts him in his print shop and whispers: "You are too busy in your head." Ioannis' first saying afterwards could not be Ioannis either: "How was it?"

Apparently it was pretty good despite everything – she then invites him to spend the night with her. The second individual date becomes an overnight date. According to Melissa, "nothing happened except a kiss and a cuddle", Ioannis likes to leave it a little more open. "We didn't sleep much," he grins afterwards into the camera. Farewell the next morning is cool, there is no kiss goodbye. The fact that Ioannis told her that night not to do any nonsense made Melissa think: "I can't let myself be constrained."

Despite the tense situation when saying goodbye, Ioannis knows how to make good use of the tense situation in the villa. He enthuses the boys, glowing with jealousy, how much time he could spend with the Bachelorette: "Until breakfast, just you and me." The big question of what happened during the night is weighed down with the words: "We said that what we said and did will stay safe there. (…) That will remain a secret forever." Shaman Daniel (34) quickly sees through the strategy: "Of course, when you hide the details, one or the other carousel of thought starts."

"In normal life that would be an immediate no-go"

But "The Show must go on" and the next group date is already on. Wien-Daniel (24), Daniel G. and Leander are allowed to pet goats with Melissa. If only it weren't for the carousel of thought that really depresses the mood. Also with Melissa: "I generally didn't feel good today. You also wonder what the boys think of you now?" At least from Vienna-Daniel, she learns that quickly: "In real life that would be an immediate no-go," he tells her clearly. Daniel .G then also makes an announcement: Since the next thing on the program is getting to know parents, he demands of Melissa that she must be one hundred percent sure if she gives him another rose. And again someone who doesn't seem to have fully understood the principle of the show.

The emotional chaos should continue. Melissa is also uneasy about the night of the roses. "I'm sick!" She whimpers as the men descend the stairs. She is particularly afraid of seeing Ioannis again – and she should be. His statements in the camera room confirm her greatest fears: "For me this is no longer a game. (…) Something really has to come of it."

The night of roses with a "huge white elephant in the room"

It quickly becomes clear that this time nothing will come of the beautiful evening that Melissa and her eight boys had hoped for. Everyone eats their food in tense silence. Moritz (31): "There was a huge white elephant in the room." The attempt of the great Daniels (31) to loosen up the mood by asking who the men's celebrity dream women would be only makes the whole thing worse. "Should we get up or …?", Melissa finally resolves the situation.

She quickly grabs Ioannis for a one-on-one conversation and makes it clear that at the moment she cannot give him as much as he can give her. "The thing is, if the journey continues, we should … (shift) down a gear." Ioannis replies "No problem", but then explains to the camera how he understood Melissa's announcement: "I don't think we should shift down a gear …"

After a state fireworks display, it goes to the even more serious part of the evening. Half of the men are sent home by Melissa: Shaman Daniel, the great Daniel, Daniel G. and artist Daniel (33). After all, this episode has one good thing: The season's naming problem has finally been resolved.
