“The Bachelorette”: This decision was not easy for her

This decision was not an easy one for her

Bachelorette Maxime Herbord also has no real idea in the last episode who she can imagine a relationship with.

Maxime Herbord (27) has reached the end of “The Bachelorette”. And not just there. After this season, her expectations of the finale are no longer particularly high: She fell in love with the wrong ones, the right one shouldn’t spark, many left voluntarily.

Now she stands with Max (31) and Raphael (23) and tries to make the best of it. Which means deciding who can “accompany you a little longer”. That doesn’t sound like the great love, but the viewers have known for a long time that it had a difficult time this season.

So now Max’s last chance: The date program includes memories of the most beautiful moments together. So fail on hula hoops, have a romantic dinner, dance together. Max pretends to be sure of his cause: “The fact that I’ve opened myself up completely means that she already knows that this is special.” And yet he asks Maxime for a percentage of how his chances are. But he cannot be influenced by her vague answer either: “My gut feeling does not deceive me.”

So many questions in the final episode

However, Maxim’s gut feeling sees it very differently. The Bachelorette is completely in the dark about her feelings and those of the boys. She is afraid “that Raphael might like me a little too much”, she wonders “whether Max likes me that way at all”, and above all, “whom I like”. So many open questions and that in the final episode! Conclusion: “It’s good that I still have a little time …”

Raphael can also relive the “milestones” of his relationship with Maxime. Food, couple dance, porch swing and sparklers. There seems to be at least a vibe between the two: The very amorous Raphael doesn’t want to stop dancing, smooching and anyway doesn’t want to leave. But where there is so much hope, there is also a lot of potential for disappointment: “I wish for the last rose with all my heart. I hope I don’t fall on my face …”, said the season’s puppy candidate.

Ten minutes of swelling music and scenes in slow motion and with thoughtful voiceovers later, the Bachelorette finally announces: “I have made a decision.” Hallelujah! The starting point for the probably least important decision of the TV year is at least pretty to look at: right in front of the sea, in the light of the sunset and in a fluttering, white dress, Maxime brings her decision to the men.

There has to be one

At this point it should read: “There can only be one”. For this season we prefer to write: “There has to be one”. And this someone will not be Max. He had said himself that it would take longer to build up feelings and is relaxed about the decision: “You’re already doing the right thing.”

When Raphael arrives, Maxime can no longer suppress her grin. After a wave of compliments, she explains to him that her journey with the last rose is not over yet. “Actually, this is just the beginning.” Of course he gladly accepts the last rose and the season ends with the two of them looking arm in arm towards the sunset and their possibly rosy future.

The viewers, however, look primarily towards the traditional “Great Reunion”, which will not only clarify whether Raphael and Maxime have continued their relationship in reality – but the Bachelorette can finally confront ex-candidate Julian. Her former favorite who had left her bachelorette’s hair behind her back but not good hair in front of the cameras …
