The "Star Wars" universe at Disney + is growing and growing: As the streaming service announced today, the next animation series was commissioned by Lucasfilm. "The Bad Batch" is to build on the story of "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and will celebrate its streaming premiere sometime in 2021.
The series follows the elite and experimental clones of "Bad Batch" that were first introduced in "The Clone Wars". They look for their way in the galaxy immediately after the clone wars. Every member of the "Bad Batch" has an extraordinary ability. In search of a new destination after the clone wars, the troop embarks on mostly daring mercenary missions in order to stay afloat.
Dave Filonis (46) is responsible for the series as executive producer, who has already worked on "The Clone Wars" and "The Mandalorian".
