The American investment fund Bain Capital is “very closely” interested in the assets of Atos ATOS.PA, which has set Friday evening as the deadline for refinancing offers, reports the daily Les Echos on Thursday.
Contacted by Reuters, Bain Capital said it had no comment.
Signs of interest are becoming clearer around Atos, in great financial difficulty, since the State proposed last Sunday to protect the strategic activities of the French digital services group.
The Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, specified that the State wanted other industrial groups to join its offer.
According to information on Tuesday from BFM Business, Czech businessman Daniel Kretinsky will submit a purchase offer for Atos.
