New Blur album already in July
Blur will release a new album in July and will be touring with it.

In a few weeks Blur will be back with a new album. “The Ballad of Darren” is scheduled for release in July.
British band Blur have been working on a new album that will be released in a few weeks. The record will be titled “The Ballad of Darren” and is scheduled for release on July 21st. The band’s ninth studio album contains ten songs.
It’s the first album in around eight years – after 2015’s “The Magic Whip”. The first single release, “The Narcissist”, can already be heard on YouTube.
“This record is an aftershock”
“This record is an aftershock, a reflection and a commentary on where we are right now,” singer Damon Albarn, 55, said in a press release. His bandmates also have their say. Adds guitarist Graham Coxon, 54, “The older and angrier we get, the more important it is that we play with the right emotions and intentions. Sometimes a riff just isn’t enough.”
There will also be numerous live performances by Blur to accompany the release of the new record. It starts with four warm-up shows, the first of which is on May 19th in the English city of Colchester. After that we go on a tour According to the band’s website further on to Spain, Portugal, Denmark, France and Japan, among others. No dates have been announced for Germany at the moment.
