(Boursier.com) — The Banque de France and ADEME are strengthening their cooperation around the implementation of tools for analyzing companies’ climate transition plans.
François Villeroy de Galhau, Governor of the Banque de France and Sylvain Waserman, President and CEO of the Ecological Transition Agency (ADEME) signed a new partnership on October 1 to allow the two institutions to continue and deepen their work common. This partnership will make it possible to implement methodologies for evaluating the climate trajectories of companies.
Faced with the entry into force, from the 1st quarter of 2025, of the European regulation CSRD – Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive – which will ask large companies to publish their transition plan, the need to use the analysis tools of these plans becomes crucial. “They help to inform companies and their stakeholders on their trajectory, with a view to collectively achieving the targets of reducing our emissions by 55% by 2030.”
