The Batman: did Robert Pattinson contract the coronavirus?

Hollywood star Robert Pattinson is said to have contracted the corona virus, according to several media reports.

Robert Pattinson (34, "The Lighthouse") is apparently sick with Covid-19. According to media reports, the Hollywood star is said to have been infected with the corona virus. The film and television company Warner Bros. Entertainment had previously confirmed that there had been a corona case on "The Batman" set. Pattinson takes on the title role of the comic book hero.

There is no official confirmation that the actor is actually ill. Both the magazine "Vanity Fair" and the industry journal "Variety" cite an anonymous source in their reports who is said to be familiar with the situation.

Production member tested positive

"A member of 'The Batman' production has tested positive for Covid-19 and is in isolation according to the existing protocol," a Warner Bros. spokesman said in a statement. The work on the superhero film has to be interrupted again.

Due to the pandemic, production was stopped in March. At that time, according to "Variety", it had only been shot about seven weeks. Apparently, the film has to be filmed for another three months so that all the material is in the can. It is hoped that the work can be completed by the end of the year. The release of "The Batman" is currently planned for October 1st, 2021.
