The Batman: Robert Pattinson is shooting in Liverpool

New pictures from "The Batman". The production of the superhero film with Robert Pattinson continues in Liverpool. Black ribbon is the order of the day.

The shooting of the new "The Batman" movie with Robert Pattinson (34) is apparently taking shape. After the first trailer had already appeared at the end of August, new set images have now appeared – from Liverpool. Work on the film will continue there after the Corona-related breaks.

"Liverpool turned into Gotham City tonight," writes the page "Explore Liverpool" on Twitter to several photos showing, among other things, police barriers, a "Gotham Police" patrol car and a bus with the label "Gotham Transit Authority". The set can be found in front of St. George's Hall, which is said to be seen in the film as Gotham Town Hall, the city's town hall.

Robert Pattinson also arrived

Like the page in another post writes, filming would begin on Monday (October 12). The British "Daily Mail" reported equally and published more photos from the set – Pattinson can also be recognized on them. Wreaths of flowers, women with mourning veils and a framed portrait of actor Rupert Penry-Jones (50), positioned on an easel, give an idea that it must be the funeral scene that is already hinted at in the first trailer.

The shooting of "The Batman" had to be put on hold for the first time in March 2020. At the beginning of September there was another production stop. It is said that Pattinson himself was infected with the corona virus, but this has never been officially confirmed. Filming resumed in mid-September, at the time at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden outside London. "The Batman" is scheduled to hit cinemas in spring 2022.
