the battery of the Plus and Ultra models will be better, but the improvement is timid

Samsung’s Galaxy S24s arrive in early 2024, and we’re starting to get a clearer idea of their specs. After the processor, it’s the turn of the battery of the Plus and Ultra models to reveal themselves.

We don’t expect Samsung’s Galaxy S24s before January/February 2024, but we’re already starting to see the information on their data sheet. We are pretty sure that the processor will be a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, at least in the United States. In Europe, we may have to settle for an Exynos chip. Over the rumors and reports, we began to fear timid improvements, such as the selfie sensor of the S24. It seems like the trend is confirmed at the level of the battery of the Plus and Ultra models.

They got their TÜV certification, which checks, among other things, that a product meets the safety standards of the countries in which it will be sold. Thanks to the files concerning them in the database, we learn that the Galaxy S24 Plus battery would be 4755 mAh and that of the S24 Ultra 4855 mAh. Important clarification: this will not be the capacity displayed once the smartphones are on sale. They will then be higher.

The batteries of the Galaxy S24 Plus and Ultra are said to be slightly better than those of the S23

For the Galaxy S24 Plus, 4755 mAh will surely translate to 4900 or 5000 mAh. It is therefore an improvement over the Galaxy S23 Plus, which has a 4700 mAh battery. Same thing on the side of the S24 Ultra. He should be given a 5100mAh capacity, against 5000 mAh for the S23 Ultra. On paper, the S24 Plus benefits the most from the transition to the next generation, but in both cases the gain is rather timid.

Fortunately, battery capacity isn’t everything. We are also waiting to see what fast charging standards will be adopted by the new Samsung models. The software part is not left out either. Specific settings can help extend the battery life of smartphoneslike this little-known option to activate on the Galaxy S23.
