The Bergdoktor: Series end in season 17 – these stars are leaving the show

• The 17th season of “Der Bergdoktor” started on ZDF on January 4th, 2024.

• But there is a crucial change, because three stars are leaving the series.

The cult series “Der Bergdoktor” is returning to ZDF with a 17th season, but we have to accept some changes for the new episodes. As in every program that is broadcast over many years or even decades, the likeable Doctor Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl) has a variety of companions at his side. Many actors leave the series sooner or later, including in the current season.

We have to say goodbye to three stars in the new episodes. But anyone who thinks they will have to do without Monika Baumgartner as Lisbeth Gruber in the future can now breathe a sigh of relief. Although her character collapsed in the finale of season 16 and had to be taken to the hospital, Lisbeth does not die the serial death. At least not soon.

These stars are leaving the Bergdoktor

The first actress we have to say goodbye to after six seasons of “Der Bergretter” is Franziska Hochstetter (Simone Hanselmann). The dedicated pharmacist joined the cast of the medical series in the 11th season. In the 16th season, Franziska took a shorter time and was only seen in two episodes. Now she is completely out of the series.

A chapter also ends for Robert Schwarz (Timon Ballenberger), as the German magazine “t-online” reports. The firefighter was seen in “Der Bergdoktor” from the 14th to the 16th season. In the future, he will work on his motorcycle away from the cameras. Robert hasn’t been seen since the middle of season 16.

Dr. Christina Tippner (Henriette Schmidt) will also say goodbye to the mountain doctor. The doctor started in the 15th season at the clinic in Hall and will now look after her patients at another location in the future.

But there are not only farewells in the 17th season of “Der Bergdoktor”. In the new episodes we can look forward to a return. Martin’s doctor’s assistant Linn Kemper (Andrea Gerhard) is back. She has been supporting the doctor in his practice since the 11th season, but in the last 16th season she was conspicuous by her absence.

But it shouldn’t stay that way forever and so Linn is back again, even if we didn’t see her right at the beginning of the first season.
