If there is a legitimate actor to name the best action movie of all time, it’s Jason Statham! Find out what he thinks is the one you absolutely must have seen!
Jason Statham is the undisputed king of tatane, and has been since the release of the first Transporter in 2002! More than twenty years later, he is still the star of at least one action film a year in which he does not let himself be told, whether facing Dwayne Johnson (Hobbs & Shaw) or surrounded by former glory of the genre (the Expendables series).
But what are the actor’s references in terms of action cinema and martial arts? As he confided in the press years agothere is a film which, for him, is the quintessence of the genre, and an unsurpassable model:
If you want to talk about films that have had an impact on what I do in the action field, there’s Operation Dragon. I have seen it countless times. He is a unique pioneer in action cinema (…). I’m sure anyone who’s ever made an action movie has just raved about the unique talent that Bruce Lee had.

Operation Dragon tells how a spy is sent by his government to participate in a deadly tournament, with the aim of infiltrating, in reality, a drug trade.
When the film was released in 1973, Statham was only 6 years old. He therefore did not have the right to see it, and took a long time before being able to discover it:
“I was a kid, and my brother had posters of Bruce Lee on the wall. My brother was hitting me and he was much taller than me; I wondered why [il avait ces affiches]I was too young to see the film.
But as soon as I was able to steal the VHS, I tossed it around and thought to myself that this guy was really just… so cutting edge. He had a big impact on my life.”

Remember that Jason Statham masters Chinese martial arts, kickboxing and karate. He also practices iron discipline to keep himself in believable physical shape for the slugger and/or retired military roles he often portrays on screen.
Her routine, revealed in the magazine Men’s Health, proves the iron will of the actor. Be careful though, what is good for the actor is probably not suitable for everyone!
