Films not to be missed this month

Doctor Who: The Toymaker

The legendary Doctor Who series is celebrating its sixtieth anniversary in 2023. Three special films have been created for the occasion and it is Disney+ that has the honor of broadcasting them. In this latest installment, the Doctor (David Tennant) and Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) investigate a mysterious laughter that risks plunging all of humanity into madness.

⭐ Its IMdB rating: 8.5/10.

Doctor Who: At the Edge of the Universe

Doctor Who: At the Edge of the Universe is the second part of the films designed for the 60th anniversary of the Doctor Who series. Broadcast since December 2, it follows Doctor Who: The Star Creature and features the fantastic David Tennant and Catherine Tate facing a major new challenge.

⭐ Its IMdB rating: 8.3/10.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

It’s difficult to reconcile adolescence and superhero powers. Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man, knows something about this. However, the young man will have to put his worries aside to face the Vulture, a new villain who is sowing discord in New York. Tom Holland, Zendaya and Michael Keaton are incredible in this reboot which is, without a doubt, one of the best films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

⭐ Its IMdB rating: 7.4/10.

Paddington

How can you resist the charm of Paddington Bear and his countless blunders? While waiting for the release of the third part, numbers 1 and 2 are joining, to everyone’s delight, the Disney+ platform. We follow the tribulations of the adorable bear who comes from Peru to live in London and we appreciate the casting so british (Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent and many others).

⭐ Its IMdB rating: 7.3/10.

Thor: Love and Thunder

Perhaps less successful than its two predecessors, Thor: Love And Thunder nevertheless remains very pleasant entertainment. The God of Thunder must face the evil Gorr and protect the colony of New Asgard. Surprise: his great love, Jane Foster, also turns out to be capable of wielding the mythical hammer Mjolnir.

⭐ Its IMdB rating: 6.2/10.

It was highly anticipated and did not disappoint. Disney+ is not a rival to Netflix, but a complementary offering, aimed particularly at children (young and old) and more broadly towards the family. The Star universe, for its part, is starting to bear fruit by offering more and more original or exclusive series. It’s a shame, however, that the service continues to lose features and gain constraints.
