The Ridley Scott-produced sci-fi series ‘Raised by Wolves’, which airs in France on Warner TV, has been canceled by HBO Max after just two seasons, much to the chagrin of fans.
Bad news for fans of Raised by Wolves: the sci-fi series produced by Ridley Scott has been canceled by HBO Max after only 2 seasons. Launched in September 2020, it follows two androids, played by Amanda Collin and Abubakar Salim, responsible for raising human children on a mysterious virgin planet. As human beings tear each other apart against the backdrop of religious wars, robots learn that it is complicated and dangerous to want to control the beliefs of humans.

A real critical success, Raised By Wolves had been renewed for a season 2 just a few weeks after the broadcast of the first episode. But despite the second season’s twist – and the unsustainable cliffhanger – HBO Max made the decision not to offer a third season.
The cancellation comes at a time of big change at WarnerMedia, the parent company of HBO Max, which was sold by AT&T and combined with Discovery to create Warner Bros. Discovery. In just over a month of existence, many upheavals have taken place, including the end of the CNN+ streaming service.
It was series star Abubakar Salim, who plays Father, who broke the news early last Friday in a lengthy Twitter post in which he shared his hope that Raised By Wolves would be saved by fans.
“It’s no surprise, especially after mergers are announced and what’s going on at Warner, that many shows can’t complete their stories,” he thus wrote. “And unfortunately, one of those series is Raised by Wolves.”

We are in a unique position: we have a fully crafted and planned script, a huge production team behind us, incredible critical acclaim and above all, a fan base so strong internationally that it cannot be ignored.”
“The reason why the cancellation has not been announced is because there is still a chance that the story could continue, and end on another channel or platform. This is where you all intervene”, he concluded by launching the hashtag #RenewRaisedByWolves, so that the fans are mobilized to offer a third season to the series.
