Stats have revealed the best submachine gun in Call of Duty: Warzone Season 2 and it’s not the one you expect.
Warzone’s close range weapon meta is constantly changing over updates with different nerfs and buffs impacting the game’s submachine guns, so it can get confusing to know which are the best weapons currently.
Since the start of Season 2, we’ve seen a lot of submachine guns emerge from the meta, be it the MP40, the PPSh-41, or even the Welgun. But the one that currently stands out from the rest is the Owen whose stats are currently best in class in the battle royale.

In a YouTube video posted by IceManIsaac, the YouTuber revealed that the Owen is currently the best SMG in Season 2. After comparing its stats to other weapons in its class, he concluded that it can take out opponents by less than a third of a second.
Its impressive time-to-kill makes it better than the Welgun or the MP40. Especially after the 50 hitpoint boost on Vanguard Royale, the Owen is clearly a can’t-miss weapon on Caldera.
