fun, news, tips… what else?

Spreads are part of our daily lives. But which one to choose? 60 million consumers has unveiled its ranking and reveals which is the best.

Nutella, Nocciolata, Jean Hervé… If you like having breakfast in the morning, then you may be a fan of spreads. We especially love it for its comforting sweet taste and its creamy texture. But some spreads are healthier than others. Why ? Among other things because some may contain palm oil, known for its high level of saturated fatty acids, which increase bad cholesterol. They also contain a lot of sugars and fats. In his February 2020 issue60 million consumers decided to rank 14 chocolate/hazelnut flavored products to find out which one was the best.

To make its ranking of the best spreads, the magazine 60 million consumers took many factors into account: the fat content, the percentage of sugars, the calories… They left nothing to chance. On the first step of the podium, we find Poulain’s signature spread: yes, the best spread is French! She received the highest score, 13.5 out of 20. Her strengths? It does not contain palm oil, it has a good sugar/fat balance and its taste is delicious.

With a 13 out of 20, the Casino and U spreads closely follow the Poulain product. In 4th position, Nutella is installed. Then we find in order: Carrefour, Choco Nussa (Lidl brand), Lucien Georgelin, Nustikao (E.Leclerc), Ivoria (Intermarché), La Vie claire, Milka, Nocciolata, Jardin Bio (Léa Nature) and finally Jean Hervé. With an average of 500 calories per 100 grams, the spread remains a rich food, but to be consumed for pleasure!
