Pre-sales for Deadpool & Wolverine have just opened in the United States, the official synopsis and duration of the feature film starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman were revealed yesterday.
A film prohibited for children under 12
The American site Fandango yesterday posted a long interview with director Shawn Levy and the two actors of the feature film. The latter notably return to the banning of the film, rated R in the United States (prohibited to children under 12).
This is the first Marvel film to receive this ban. Kevin Feige therefore kept his promise. When Disney bought Fox and announced a third Deadpool film, fans were afraid that the anti-hero would be sanitized by Disney, but the producer and architect of the MCU had promised not to touch it. the essence of Deadpool.
Ryan Reynolds states in the interview: “I was surprised to see that they decided to rate the film R. I was surprised that they allowed us to move to R, and I’m very grateful for that. I mean there’s no other way to do it. This classification has really allowed us to do anything and everything in a world where anything and everything is possible.”
The actor and producer adds that it is a “big step for the studio. This adds a whole new color to this kaleidoscopic wheel that is this company and the different audiences it has always entertained.”.

Director Shawn Levy specifies that it was clear from the start with Disney: “We told them that if we were going to do this movie, we had to be true to the tone of a Deadpool movie. Which means we weren’t going to cut corners and we were going to be bold, funny and provocative. As a fan, this is what I expect from Logan and Wade Wilson.
But I must admit that despite everything we were prepared for negative reactions. However, each time, we received the support of Kevin and the entire Disney team. They trusted us and allowed us to create the version of Deadpool and Wolverine that we felt was the best.”

Amused, they replied that they would not say anything about it but that this type of film is the subject of much speculation from fans. Reynolds nevertheless adds: “Anything can happen and that’s what I like most about this universe and this world. Surprises are the essence of Deadpool.”
This long interview also tells us that the television spot broadcast yesterday to announce pre-sales contains a hidden link to a secret video message from Ryan Reynolds, in which the actor promises that the film will also be “light as a series of Battlefield Earth“.
No post-credits scene
The interpreter of the anti-hero also claims that Deadpool & Wolverine “will completely avoid the end-credits sequence imposed by Marvel, because this short sequence “is never more than an advertisement for another film”.
The film should therefore not have a post-credit scene. This is not a first since Avengers: Endgame and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever did not include a post-credits scene.
Deadpool & Wolverine is expected in our theaters on July 24.
