Carrefour has bought 6,500 Tesla cars, Model 3s and Model Ys, which you can rent from June 16. The prices are very competitive, enough to please those who want to try the Tesla experience.
It is complicated to buy an electric car in 2022, even more so a Tesla. The American brand displays long delays, sometimes more than a year, which lengthen as time goes on. The cause of these setbacks and these expectations is obviously the global context which leads to shortages and price increases. If you are in a hurry, or simply to test, Carrefour has just launched a Tesla rental offer.

Carrefour Location will add Model 3 and Model Y to its catalog. You will be able to find them from June 16 in around thirty Carrefour Locations, and more than 80 rental locations in September.

For this launch, Carrefour is offering a discounted offer: until the end of July, the first day is billed at 59 euros, then the following ones between 119 and 149 euros depending on the model and the period (day, week or weekend). What you can usually see at Avis, Hertz or Europcar is around 200 euros for a day’s rental.
6500 vehicles in stock
In total, Carrefour has bought 6,500 Tesla cars, you can find them in L’Haÿ-les-Roses, Rambouillet or Pontault-Combault in Ile-de-France. There are other places in France, including Ecully (Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes), Uzès and Perpignan (Occitanie), Lormont and Mérignac (Nouvelle Aquitaine) as well as Aix-en-Provence (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’ Azure).
Carrefour is aiming for an 80% utilization rate, this new offer is aimed at people who want to save some fuel, but it is also a so-called pleasure. The French distribution giant does not hide it, they also hope to allow those who have ordered a Tesla to wait by renting a Tesla from Carrefour.
